In conclusion. Just facts. You promissed ppl Ip at 7 and walk at ~11 - 4 hours of opportunity to find a game. You gave ppl 2 hours - half that time. Is that a scam? Is that a 50% refund? Is that unfortunate circumstances?

Thats up to you and community to decide.

We offered a game to everybody who already had one before walking when we switched to VPN, you found 2 games, what would 4 hour of search instead of 2 would have give you more ?

The giveaway sojs have been donated to people who gave a game on the new ip to the 6 people who already had it in previous ip so they dont loose anything from switching method.

Out of 50+ participants you're the only one frustrated, and you still manage to find 2 games.

I dont understand what more you want from me ?

Not entirely true. I was the first one to give up my game to another person because no one wanted to give away their game. During the run I was promised an soj (or raffle for 5 sojs) since I was one of the six people who gave up the room. However, the organizers decided that they are just going to keep the soj I was promised because the game I gave away was did not have a password. It's their run and they can do whatever they want with their sojs, but I had to find out that they werent giving me an soj after like 30 minutes of sticking around and actively asking where the promised soj was--I was even harassed and mocked by other members of the run. This is what I get for trying to be the first one to do the right thing. At least the run was successful.

I agree with some of the reviews here.
The run was successful but it was very poorly organized and I won't be participating for future runs. Here are my reasons:

1. Poor communication: The original run was scheduled for 7:00pm EST. We had roughly 65/125 sojs at 6:55pm. It was announced that the collection would continue to 7:30pm and if we don't reach 125 sojs by then, all sojs would be returned. I was fine with it but this wasn't voted by the participants and to make such announcement 5min before the planned time seemed unfair to some people. To make things worse, there were no updates until 7:40pm. At this point, I had no idea when we were starting but I knew we were still collecting sojs. At some point between 7:40pm to 7:50pm, someone mentioned in the voice chat about doing a shared screen to release hot IP. This was done all verbally and I wouldn't have known about it if I wasn't paying a close attention. There was nothing mentioned in writing (such as in the announcements or information channels) about the exact start and end time. The 1st hot ip was released at exactly 7:51pm (delay of 51 minutes). At some point towards the end of the walk, I had to inquire about the closing time. Going by the agreement of 4 hour window, it should have been 11:51pm but it was changed to 11:30pm. I was fine it with but again, this had to be made clear for everyone at the start. Additionally, I've noticed several questions and concerns not being addressed multiple times and I can only assume the organizer was too occupied with something else.

2. No vote system: We made a lot of sudden changes during the walk from start to finish. Some big decisions were made through voice chat and there was no way of knowing if that's what most people wanted. I believe at least 50% of the participants remained silent the entire time and not all participants joined in the voice chat. Just to make things clear, I was fine with the changes but do have a problem with how it was handled.

3. Closure: Supposedly, we had approximately 30 sojs left. We gave out 1 soj to approximately 4-6 people that helped others get their game. Currently, I have no idea how many sojs are left because none of this was recorded or streamed. Also, I wouldn't know if we had exactly 125 sojs from the start because the soj collection records stopped at 103/125 at 7:28pm.

To summarize above, it didn’t feel like the walk was a paid event. It felt like I was there to leech off and I wasn’t there as a contributor. It was by far the worst planned walk I’ve done to date. The experience could have been much better with good communication.

This guy is a leaker btw he had a hot mic in a clone walk and didnt even know it. We could hear him giving ip address away to other people either in the room or over another chat client.

A fair accusation but a false one. Everyone who ran Dclone on Sunday knows that there were at least two runs around the same time. I paid my sojs to this guy for his run for his EU run, my roommate gave his soj to another guy for the NA run days before Sunday (which had 1 soj requirement and became public later on). We both bought our spots on our own and had no idea we each did due to lack of verbal communication between two dudes living together. The NA run gave out IP a long time before this guy's EU run. I was kicked from the EU run because I forgot to turn off my phone mic on a Sunday afternoon when I was hanging out with my roommate in our office playing games. He refunded me my sojs, so that's also a fair move to do by the EU run guy. I've done multiple runs and helped out multiple people kill their dclone in runs. I have several people who can vouch for me, but trust is another issue that I don't really care to gain online. You are not the only one running Dclone, not sure why you think your run was the only run that was ran on Sunday afternoon... Also I am pretty sure you weren't part of the run on this thread--not sure why you feel compelled to accuse me out of the blue for giving a review for the run that other people seem to agree on.

I'm always listening and taking people's suggestions into consideration.

I want to make a few statements with regard to the above experiences.

1 1/2 hours into run we had to make a decision to either refund all sojs and cancel the walk or try to get games using VPN.

Those who did speak up in voice chat were mostly on board. People had invested a couple hours and the walk portion of the event wasn't scheduled to start until 11 pm est.

We did run behind by 40 minutes.

As far as the extra sojs we stopped collecting at 103. It cost 91 for Diablo to walk and we gave 4 away. So there was no 125 collected.

This was our first dclone event and I can empathize with people and their experience with regard to organization being lackluster.

At the end of the day we took 40 minutes longer than expected and over 90% of contributors received an anni charm.

I myself learned a lot in this process and I assure you, your suggestions and frustrations won't go unaddressed. The next run with be more clear in the instructions and better organized and I personally will be better prepared to communicate more effectively.

Thanks to all who commented and participated and we hope you join in on another walk in the future.

Give this man an upvote. Great attitude and response! It was a rocky run but we were successful. Tried to do the right thing by offering the guy who didn't get an anni a free run next time. Remaining SOJs are still unaccounted for though. Also just on their own they decided "Oh we were gonna give away 5 sojs but nvm. Only 4 because we changed our mind." They can keep that extra soj, but their soj tracking is shady for multiple runs imo.
