am I on the safe side if i open a new game every 3 minutes? it's about the temp ban when u open >20 games per hour, I guess

Yes, 3 minutes per game is safe. Few seconds past 3 minutes even safer ;)
3 minutes intervals makes it safe when it takes more then 1 hour to find the IP, because You don't have to wait after creation of 20 games to create next one.
