Once in awhile I’ll sell a soj in a random game so a few randos camp an IP all night. Sounds like OP might be one of those that fall for my trap.

Problem is when they camp the IP before selling, it would be hard to create new games on the IP anyway. There is only so many games that will be made on an IP, or at least it will get to the point where there is a very slim chance to create a new game on that IP.

If my understanding is incorrect let me know, but this is always how it seemed to be in my experience.

A: Your question is flawed. This is a flaw that all the people in the anni market follow. The idea that they OWN the IP just because they sold a ton of sojs. Blizzard owns the IP. Not you. Not me. Read that first line again. "this is my ip."

That's the flawed thinking of the people who run the anni market.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with WANTING a free anni.
There's nothing wrong with GETTING a free anni.
There's nothing wrong with trying to find a hot IP.

only thing flawed is your lack of knowledge... you realize the odds of him getting his chars in that server go down 10 fold for ever person who joins tht server right? battle.net usually defaults you to server with least traffic or lowest ping....if he is selling mass sojs to walk (aka 80+) he needs to get as many of his chars in that server to make up the fg spent on 80 soj and then try to make profit.....the way he came at you was pretty legit i think, he even offered you pay.....

ooooh, you're referring to the person who thought he owned IP 139.

Came at me legit and offered to pay. Yea, ok. He had an investment and wanted to protect that investment as much as possible. I respect that. That still does not mean he owned or had total rights to IP 139 and all anni produced by it.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by my "lack of knowledge?"

I know quite a bit about clone hunting, the jsp anni market, and its major players. If you can teach me something I dont already know, I'd love to hear it.
