yes, correct. Put at least 2 different chars from 2 different people in the NL game, as some IP appeared to more unstable than others, and immediately hunt that IP on ladder

The group worked well together, keeping tabs on what was currently NL or L at any given time.

EDIT: we held like 4 different NL IP at same time, and just waited to see which popped up L first, then abandon the other 3 IP

Could you clarify something about IP rotation? So US East Ladder games can have games with IPs ranging from 101-151. Are you saying that there is some subset of these that are reserved for non-ladder games, and the remaining subset is reserved for ladder games? These subsets rotate, and you are taking advantage of this to be on the same IP in a ladder and non-ladder game?

This is all pretty cool, looks like even poor people like me could contribute to something here if we get SOJs cheap in non-ladder.

i did walks that way in 2017/18 a few months after they "split" server ips^

also i posted this info a while ago but since no1 cared in that topic i thought its public knowledge for ages

confirmed, ive walked ip 149 7x times in past week using this method. would hold a nl game and wait untill the ip rotates back to ladder , typically within a few hours, then collect ladder games.

Its 101 to 161 with some missing. For example theres no 114 and half the 130s dont exist.

Right, at any given time, there are like 45 IP dedicated to Ladder, and 10 or so dedicated to NL.

However, the whole subset doesnt rotate all together at same time. Like, whatever 10 IPs are NL right now, those 10 arent going to all rotate at same time together.

Yea, even poor people can walk now. Anyone with ~600fg can walk a ladder clone now. Assuming the price of NL soj holds at 5fg.

That's cool, but for returning players who only have ladder, it's impossible for us to know which ip to go on because we don't know which ones are being camped on nonladder. The designated IP doesn't even exist on ladder yet so there is no benefit of staying on a random game waiting for soj counters either. We have to know to create a new game AFTER the switch, but that makes clone hunting nigh impossible to predict with a small window of timing. *Shrug* so basically I'm never going to get an Anni by visiting this sub for direction because I'm a nobody returning player.
