Sometimes if you're in legacy mode it won't show. I haven't seen the shake thing happen in a while, might have been an option to disable in options that I removed

ya theres a gameplay option to remove screen shakes

but on the issue of not seeing the msgs... it usually fixes if you log out of bnet and reboot the bnet launcher and d2 game itself.

When it reaches 4/6 you really wanna have a game up and ready. Turn off "friends joining" if you have randoms on your friends list too.
