Don't know, it still seems a bit silly to me to be honest. The devs amended the DClone spawn to be area wide rather than server IP wide so that more people can enjoy the event. Yet there's still people wanting the DClone to be as limited as possible.

Maybe in the next update blizzard will amend it further so that a player cannot sell dozens of SOJs all at once, giving players no heads up that it's coming.

Huh, so your mad that you can no longer hord all the anni's to yourself? Or mad that I'm organizing a way for people to know when it's done and still only have to provide 1 soj to do so? I mean, blizzard could make it like single player, but then it wouldn't be a fun world event for players to organize.

When we spawn, everyone will get to enjoy it. Regardless of whether they helped make it happen or not. There has to be some benefit to wasting an SOJ..

Well that is cause we made the game kind of one against each other. So the perspective is, i want xyz item, i dont want other people to have, so it has more value, so i will get more items, so i will be stronger, so i will grind more then others etc.

It is like real world business.

Literally. It makes sense and does not make sense in the same time. Like if i grind hours a day, for my SoJ, why should you get a anni, if you did not put any time or SoJ for it, and i did.
It is like in the real world, you go and bust ass for a living, and someone else just says why dont you share your wealth.
And now a funny thing happens, it is just a game, and it actually does not affect you a lot if someone else gets an anni as well, you make him happy, and you are happy cause u got yours, but there is still that trading world, and that why would he get something without giving something in return....

Am not mad at all - over the years I've been playing D2 (right from when it first came out), I only ever had DClone spawn once in my game and probably had 3 annis in total, including the one I found myself - so certainly am not hoarding anything.

The idea was for people to sol SOJs over time, that's also why there's the server messages so that people know it's coming.

By hoarding SOJs and selling them 'privately' all at once (therefore players have no heads up that it's going to happen), it goes directly against the whole idea.

Not sure what to say. This is the way the devs made it. We are just adjusting. And making something happen for everyone. No need to be mad really. Either you enjoy getting a little something extra for a little effort, or tou enjoy getting a little something extra for no effort at all. Everyone wins.

The way devs made it was not for small group of people to hoard SoJs, effectively trying to prevent others from ever experiencing DClone spawn in their game. What's been happening historically (people connecting to the right IPs etc.) and what seems to continue - that to me seems trying to bypass the idea.

Am not mad, it just seems silly what some people are doing, that's all. With the 2.4 change chances are that more people will experience DClone than before - which is good. However with what the players hoarding SoJs are doing still goes against what I believe was intended.

I'm publicly crowd sourcing sojs. The cheapest anyone could do it is selling an soj themselves. I'm merely making it guaranteed for ANYONE who wants to participate. It's not limited. It's public. Anyone can get in on it and know for a fact that their item isn't wasted. This type of group gameplay is EXACTLY what the devs wanted. They've said so.

I'd honestly love to see the devs saying they want people to hoard SOJs and selling them like this. Do you have the interview with them or just making it up?

Group play yes, this kind of hoarding, I can't imagine it's what they intended and the change in 2.4 goes directly against that (which they did state in an interview that they do not want players to do).

People aren't "hoarding" anything. We are crowd funding the exact thing the devs implemented. A PUBLIC spawn. Group play and coordination is what was meant to happen. Not sure what your issue is. Either donate an soj and enjoy, or don't, and still enjoy. No skin off my back.
