Would like to gauge interest on a private walk for Hardcore expansion ladder.

Minimum entry would be 5 sojs. Might expect a few more from the mass account farmers if any express interest. Wouldn't want anymore than 20-25 core members.

Would create very extensive and specific protocols, procedures and guidelines - much of which wouldn't be posted publicly. But could be shared with legitimately interested parties. The most important aspect is it would involve a semi-democratic operating methodology where we elect a few members to hold the sojs and handle various aspects etc.

If you think you might be interested post here. If there is enough potential interest I'll do some work to develop more, if there isn't then not going to waste the time working on it beyond this.

Explain to me how, other then your own personal greed, you need to do a private walk to ensure the least amount of people possible can participate.

So basically you want to get few annis for free ? If you have soj to contribute, there are public walks too. Everyone here can do what they want, so no explanation needed.

And this is why they need to update the way Dclone works again. They specifically changed it to a server wide event to prevent the "Anni Mafias" that would control the entire thing for their own profit. But players are still working hard to do that despite Blizzard saying that is not the why they wanted these things to be handled.

Once all the SOJ's have been sold, there should be a global timer before the spawn to dis-allow this "im gonna hide it" attitude. 15-30 minutes should be good.

or they could just change the mechanic to work like single player. You sell an soj, you get a dclone spawn in your game only. Would greatly simplify things. I guess it would anger all the players who think they are entitled to get free items, but it would really simplify things and create certain incentives that would reduce some server stress.

But to answer your original question, yes this is purely about greed and profit. This is in no way about the greater good of the community, helping the little guy, trying to spread generosity to fellow man, it is about potentially enriching a fairly small circle of players who have certain means. If there is interest then perhaps something will happen purely out of greed of a few, but it would benefit many thousands of others incidentally for free. Or perhaps its more trouble than its worth so it doesn't happen. I don't know. The market players will decide.

I agree with you, but consider that. Last ladder on a public walk was people with 200+ clients opened and ready for it. That’s why they change the server in the last minute. Some people buy 1 soj to contribute for like 500 fg as not all of us are lucky enough to find the soj ourselves, and after the walk annis cost less than that soj. What’s the point of that ?

I’m sure this walk won’t happen as no one will donate 5 soj when they can only donate 1 to a public walk.

Or if it does happen, will be only the anni mafia which will affect the public market values a lot.

It’s always been like that, and I don’t think will ever change. The only way to change this is if Blizzard bring the value of the sojs needed for dc to walk.

If they make it 1 soj and dc walk in your game, annis will be crazy expensive, same as sojs.

I mean this guy is setting up the walk himself, so of course he’s doing it for personal gain.

If you cut it down to 2x SOJ would participate. I’m not a big enough multi to benefit from 5 lol
