I am hosting a diablo clone walk tonight with an 85% threshold in 90 minutes.
The buy-in is 3 SoJs. I will be both the coordinator and seller.
How to Join:
1. Post your interest on this thread
2. PM me on jsp your exact discord username. I will respond with an invite to my discord channel.
3. When you're ready to submit 3 SoJs, PM me on discord with your character name to trade for the SoJs.
4. Once you've submitted your 3 SoJs, I'll mark you as "paid" on discord and you're all set.
Timeline: (tentative)
Starting now - Discord invites and SoJ collection begin
9pm EST - We will select the IP* and release it
11pm EST - SoJ selling begins (streamed on discord)
*IP will be selected by polling all participants and finding a "hot" IP
This will be done transparently and no one will have a pre-release advantage
The Plan:
- 85% must find a game within 90 minutes or we will not walk.
- If we're close to 85% at 90 minutes, we may extend the timer by up to 30 minutes.
- We will use the IP blocking method. If you aren't familiar with this, that's okay - for almost everyone, this is extremely simple and we'll have tutorials in our discord.
- We can provide 1:1 technical support as long as you proactively reach out.
- Each SoJ buy-in allows you to use one client to connect to the hot IP. If you have multiple clients, you need to purchase multiple buy-ins.
- If you're found bypassing the above rule or otherwise distributing the IP, you will be banned and appropriate action will be taken against you.
FAQs:
1. What happens to extra SoJs?
50% - goes to verified refunds* and credit for next run**
25% - goes to me as coordinator/seller for the hours of extra work
25% - goes to technical support team (split evenly)
*you are eligible for a full SoJ refund if you did all the appropriate technical setup and prove you didn't find a room with the hot IP
**once we reach 42 SoJ credits, the lucky people on the next run will need to pay 1 SoJ less.
2. Am I guaranteed an anni / what happens if I don't find a room with the hot IP?
You are not guaranteed an anni. By coming on this run, you agree to take that risk.
If you don't find a room with the hot IP, you are eligible for a potential refund. To receive that refund, you must:
a. verify that you are not in a game with a hot IP when we begin selling SoJs
b. verify that you have all the correct technical setup for IP blocking
Verifications can be done live via streaming, or via screenshot with in game timestamps and IP viewable
3. How do I hunt dclone / IP block / track my IP in game?
These tasks are fairly simple and take <5 minutes per task to setup and understand.
I will have detailed text instructions in my discord, and can help people troubleshoot as necessary.
