Let me say this first, I haven't been on here for a long time. Only came cause I remember I have FG here, and recently started play Archeage and wanted to get some in game Gold.
I'm seeing the prices here are much higher than those 3rd party gold sites? Why is that? Shouldn't it be the other way around, should be cheaper IMO.

example: if it's 1:7 ratio (1 in game gold = 7 fg)

If I wanted to buy 200g that comes out to be 1400 fg which roughly = $45 real cash
with that $45 you could of easily got 400-500 gold from 3rd party sites.

Like I said I just started playing Archeage, and wanted to check the prices here.

Let me know if you reasonable prices on NA-Ezi

Well nobody is paying 1:7 for starters. More like 1:3
1400 fg is NOT 45% more like 14$.

Fixed for you

If someone bought FG here
http://forums.d2jsp.org/index.php?act=purchaseGold

1400 fg lands somewhere in between these 2

$ 40 for 1260 fg
$ 50 for 1550 fg

so, a estimated $45 = 1400 fg is about right

lol are you serious? to you maybe, or to me the value of the fg (to anything matter fact) is different.
I get that the real value of fg can't really be matched up for real money 1 for 1, especially if you were like me, when I first started using jsp for D2. Didn't spend a dime, just traded items (at one point I had over 150k fg)

maybe there is a inflation of fg on here at jsp, I don't know. But affording to http://forums.d2jsp.org/index.php?act=purchaseGold $10 USD still is 290 fg

All I'm saying is the prices are pretty high here IMO... that's my 2cents

You are wrong that is all there is to it

Go to CS forums and look at how people trade 1:80 or 1:90 or 1:100 with steam marketplace values. 1:100 = 1000 fg = 10 dollars. It is the universal standard most everyone uses on this forum.

If you ever go to the donor forums and trade FG for real life stuff the rule of thumb is generally 1k=10$

Same with every other d2jsp sub forum for the most part.

Noone uses the price it costs to actually buy from njag

10 Dollars is 1000 FG.
It's fact.

Just because Njaguar only grants you 290 FG for your 10 dollar "Donation" doesnt mean thats it's value.

He is a little slow forgive him. What he is trying to say is the price of fg in the donor forum and commonly accepted ratio to USD is 100:$1. If you buy it from Paul it is more expensive.

Yeah nobody trade on AA forum lol. Rather spend your FG on Runescape gold ,sell the RS gold use the $ to buy the gold on 3rd party = 400-600% profit.

Demand and supply.
Just because there is a "General ratio" for the forum gold or whatever you'd like to call it, it is still up to the market to decide the price.

Bottom line is: If there are few sellers and many buyers the prices will be to whatever they set it to be.
Ratio mind as well be 1:15 Archeage gold -> FG if the sellers would ask for it.

But the longer the game goes on, the more people knowing how to get gold in-game, the prices will sink.
Don't make the mistake thinking the market prices are already set just because we are on D2jsp and the Counter-strike forum sells for this or that.
