I'm curious - what do you think is broken/unbalanced?
My friend told me last night there was a big patch. So I can't comment on that.
But PvP was broken and in no way balanced.
Witchcraft was broken as hell, defense tree is insanely dominant. Mudhand is it's own issue.
The heal return from innervate / mudhand can create some god-tier 1v1 classes.
Overall the Arena implementation is shit. 1v1 arenas have 0 balance, which is fine, but at the time was the only competitive medium. So that was VERY discouraging.
The game pretty much hates healers.
Being able to armor swap mid-arena is stupid since cloth completely fucks over anyone who depends on CC~.
The game is far more about gear/potions than skill, which is frustrating. I can understand that there should be this barrier to a certain degree, but in combination with above mentioned OP classes, it was disgusting.
Also... Archers.
Note: This is mostly from an Arena PoV, as open world pvp is a different story / zerg war is also a different story.
In most small scale open world events though, gear aside, the person who got the jump won.
Edit: Also note, I was VERY geared. I streamed a lot, you can check my vods if you want, I'm not a shit player, and I often crushed people really hard. Does not make it balanced or a good system.
Double edit: Oh and keep siege mechanics were retarded, as well as the "strategy" for keep sieging was, everyone pick 1-3 op builds and abuse the no Diminishing returns / walls / buildings etc. It wasn't fun or skill.
