Google isn't of any real help surprisingly and people i ask seem to be 50/50. What do you guys do with most of the crap you find? most of the stuff vendors for about as much as it sells for on AH, so i never bother with that.. however, some of the salvage items sell for decent coin, but seems like there isn't a clear cut choice in whether to salvage or vendor. vendoring nets you decent coin, most of the items at my level (32) sell for nearly 1g
