Below are the 2 main selling points I keep hearing about when people speak positively about Wildstar.

TLDR: WS is marketed as a MMO for the hardcore gamer yet everything about this game is to the contrary. Its like buying extra super mega hot sauce and trying it and getting something bland and mild tasting. I dont trust that Wildstar's end game is going to be great because everything that has been stated that is great with this game is outdone by other MMOs. The 2 major selling points of Wildstar I keep hearing about are done better in older MMO's. This game feels like WoW 2.0 in space with 1/100th the content. The PVP feels like it was tossed in last second and is currently buggy, laggy, and has rampant bot use since day 1 with none of these 24/7 cheaters being banned despite hundreds of support tickets being sent in. There is not one single new PVP concept in this game. The questing in WS is boring and unoriginal, the items are boring and unoriginal. MAKE SURE YOU TRY IT WITH A GUEST PASS FIRST.

I agree. I found Rift to be way more challenging than WS pre level cap. Rift (and pretty much every other MMO out) has many more dungeons with multiple difficulty tiers that actually give you items that your character can use. The 2 dungeons in WS I went through are laughably small and gave me worse items then I already had equipped. I would say the average Rift dungeon is close to 10x as big as Wildstars but they're probably even bigger and far more complex. I dont like Rift nor do I play Rift.

Tera has an amazing skill combo/chain system with hundreds (thousands?) of different possibilities. Not only that but a lot of the skills require player positioning vs the enemy. A skill you can only use attacking the side of the enemy would never work in WS since this game is so clunky and the ghosting in pvp would make something like this pretty much impossible to implement effectively at this games current state. I describe Wildstar's combat as upgraded button mashing while moving your character around more. There is bare minimum technique or skill to the combat. PS: I dont like Tera, I dont play Tera.

The "skillshot" system of Wildstar doesnt feel like there is any skill involved at all. If you have played a FPS before or know how to aim to any degree in videogames then Wildstars aim feels incredibly redundant. Monsters move in straight lines. Aim is pretty much irrelevant not to mention the massively wide arc most skills have to begin with. PVP is clunky, laggy and buggy and yet I still land all my skills 90%+ of the time.



The best things I found about Wildstar is the crafting system and the housing. Neither of which I enjoy using in a game since I was never looking for a "The Sims" experience to begin with. The graphics are nice too which is pretty far down on the list compared to other things I am looking for in a game.



Wildstar gets a 2 outta 10 from me, and also my $60. Bravo marketing team.

I bought this game for the raid content alone and I'm only level 20 and have enjoyed all of it so far.

Rift is harder guys! That's okay because he didn't like that game either though.

itd be one thing if he made a coherent list of actually bad qualities about the game, but he basically just says "i dont like the game because its bad, its bad because i dont like it."
I could find 100 things to bitch about, that really do bring down the QOL, with this game, strangely though I'm still really enjoying it...
