So when I try and open the game I get an application error saying it couldn't be put in the memory or someting. Can anyone help please?

Try posting on their support forums, none of us are going to know. Only thing id say would be to try to reinstall

I had the same issue. It's a direct X memory issue. It's solved by forcing the game to run in dx9 vs dx 10 or 11 which is causing the issue. -dx9 on the shortcut exe target line.
