Haven't tried it how is it? WoW 2.0?
It feels like vanilla did when I started playing WoW.
Overall through beta the game was very well received by mmo players.
The combat system is very different to anything else that exists, so you should watch some gameplay videos.
There are 6 classes and 2 factions of 4 races each, and each class can have 2 specs as well as can effectively function as two roles (trinity), so everything can be tank/dps, or heal/dps, and all you have to do to switch is change your specs (instant if out of combat), and change gearsets because they obviously don't use the same gear.
I like the loot system and the crafting system personally. Everything that drops in the game poops out of monsters onto the ground and you press a button (v) that vacuums up the loot.
It should be noted that the game is extremely quest heavy, but so is WoW. Many quests can be turned in in the field through a comm, even ones with quest rewards to minimize the trips you have to take back to the NPCs (but not all can be turned in this way).
The dungeons are quite hard the first time through and not so challenging afterward if everyone knows what to do.
Interrupting is interesting in this game, as bosses have armor preventing them from being interrupted that has to be removed with interrupts before you can actually interrupt the boss. For instance, most early bosses/minibosses have 2 interrupt armor, therefore you have to use 3 interrupts to actually interrupt them.
There are 20 and 40 man raids that are going to be hard as fuck. They expect that no one will be able to fully gear up from the 20 man raid in under one month from launch (the 40 man is after the 20 man).
There's really just so much to learn about this game that you gotta go through the devspeaks if you're serious about playing it, especially since you didn't get to experience any of the beta. There is a lot of things that would be helpful to know before starting, and certainly before investing.
It's like WoW in that you have to buy the game and pay a sub, but if you play a lot you can buy the sub from other players for igc if you wish to alleviate the sub burden ($15/mo normally).
Sry for wall :x
