i stopped doing the soldier quests on my guy at level 8, no regrets. Since then its still "hit g 5 times on these mobs" "holdout against this wave of enemies" or "assassinate this guy" thats literally it in every zone.
Scientist was way better (granted it could use some QOL changes).
Also the skills kinda suck.

Bail out "teleports you group to safety" never gets used.
Back into the fray - heals you fully when out of combat - useful but on 10 minute cd, so its rarely used.
Combat supply drop - useless as far as i can read, as these drops are all over the map anyways.

Ugh im aving a hard time choosing what to pick

settlers can make a buff that gives them a chance for a epic coin to drop (drops often) and sells for a decent amount of money, netting you a large amount of gold on the way to 50. As well as always having the ability yourself to make the xp buff and run buffs.

Scientist has a useful summon, yet the path itself involves lots and lots of bullshit.

Settler probably has the worst skills (you can just get that stuff in your home), but it also makes it incredibly easy to get faction rep.

The beacon is super nice on explorer. Huge utility tool. Can do a lot with it that no other path will ever be able to do.

The favorites seem to be Soldier and Scientist though. They have the most to offer for their skills.

And Scientist is extremely easy to level. You just scan shit while you quest.

I have found the soldier skills to be useless so far. The heal on a 10minute cooldown (which you need to be ooc for) hardly is worth it and im rarely low enough to need to regen while questing. The safe teleport is so incredibly inconvenient and really just trolls your group. The supply crate I have yet to need to spawn one as theyre everwhere, but I imagine in raiding they may make some better uses for it.

pretty disappointing that I can't choose to reset my path and learn a different one.
