There is no indication in any of that, that pre-purchase betas are ANYTIME soon or in the immediate future. Where are these so called sources? As for your second post, its been made very public that there would CONSTANTLY be invites going on as they originally stated when they launched CBT that they would be slowly increasing the player base over time rather than a couple of HUGE invite waves to make sure server stability was 100% under control. Their first MAJOR public stress test was just this past month as I'm sure you are well aware. You can post links to old news all you want it doesn't change the fact that what I said holds true about you and ALL of this information you're posting trying to justify your belittling of the value of the beta keys. They are worth what they are worth. I paid 5.5k for mine, and people before me paid upwards of 10-12k just because you are to lazy or poor to afford the FG to buy one at their CURRENT VALUE does not give you the right to outright lie to try and devalue said item.

You can infer the pre-purchase by the fact the game is scheduled to release in this quarter and it's already been pushed back once. I also said my sources for pre-purchase imminence were friends and things I have read on reddit comments/public media. My links were for the fact I thought you were arguing the frequency and volume of beta key releases. The last two were not old.

If the game were truly going to launch Q1 2014, it would have a release date.

Since you love linking reddit posts. This is typical rumor mill, best guesswork from people on forums.
There is no developer/official release date given only an estimated date and so far Carbine has pushed back everything from initial beta wave invites to stress test dates. So there is no reason or hope to believe the game will launch in the first quarter of this year.

also, I can not recall a single mmo releasing without a set release date, and that release date was revealed many months prior to the given date. The least amount of time I have seen is 6 months.

the only time you will get a beta key for so little is when you can prepurchase and just get one.

because this circumvents the need to, even though you technically can prepurchase and test it then if you do not like you can get a refund (most of the time), this just cuts that need out, and lets you test sooner.

IIRC there are some perks upon release you get for testing now and if you carry that account forward, nothing game changing though . But I could be wrong.

You get a set of vanity clothing for having logged in during the Winter Beta stress test weekends and a hover board which is a "mount" if you will at level 20 which is earlier than normally allowed in game.

Not gamebreaking, but useful.

anything given to beta testers will be available after launch as well. For example, we get free hoverboards (i think its level 25, we dont get to use them earlier) but anyone can buy one at level 25.

last i heard their idea for the highwayman vanity set is that if they need help on the test server after launch, theyll hand out the clothes to whoever helps.
