Since im going in republica dominicana every years, i think its time to learn spanish... But i would like to know how long would it takes to. Speak spanish. My first language is french and my second is english. Took me maybe 10 years to fully speak english, but i think spanish is harder to learn.

I realy want to learn this language. And im not talking about going to spanish lesson once a week, no no no... I dont mind going to school everyday to learn.

So if someone here took spanish lesson, can you tell me how long it took you ?

Thanks

If you put your work in, in one year you can be thoroughly fluent.

Mastery comes in time.

Best you can do to learn any language including spanish is to live in a country where you cant speak your mother tongue. With you forced to think in spanish, or even translating the spanish terms you need to english you should overcome the task in a short time

And what would be the best way to learn spanish ? Cause im guessing that if i pick spanish in school, i will only learn the basics, and thats not what i want.
