Rio Ferdinand becomes first PL footballer to banned for a Twitter post...
Ferdinand, who signed for QPR in the summer, was tagged in a tweet that read: “Maybe QPR will sign a good CB they need one.” In response, he tweeted: “Get ya mum in, plays the field well son! £sket”. The word ‘sket’ is Caribbean slang for a promiscuous girl or woman.
Ferdinand was told that, as well as a £25,000 fine, he would miss the next three Queens Park Rangers matches.
