The PlayStation Network has been back with us for around two weeks now without the full service being resumed. Now today we have new reports of Sony’s PSN down again on May 29 in the US and parts of Europe. Many PlayStation 3 owners found problems again this morning when trying to sign into the network.

The service has only just recently gone live in Japan and it was hoped that the PlayStation Store would be back by Tuesday, according to an article on Judge Game. Luckily Sony has not left it long before responding to the problems. They have said that some users may experience problems signing in, as they are working on restoring the full PSN service.

It hasn’t been said how long the service may be down for but it should mean we finally see the PlayStation Store back online. This will also mean that you will be able to start accessing the free downloads offered by Sony.

At the time of writing we have reports of some areas in Europe the service is down, but some of our readers in the UK have confirmed it is available. Is the PSN service working in your area?

SONY AND SONY COMPUTER ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCE FULL RESTORATION OF PLAYSTATION®NETWORK SERVICES Tokyo, May 31, 2011 – Sony Corporation and Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) announced today that Sony Network Entertainment International (SNEI, the company) will fully restore all PlayStation®Network services in the Americas, Europe/PAL territories and Asia, excluding Japan, Hong Kong, and South Korea by the end of this week.
