Pep Guardiola to manage Manchester United from August 2013
Sir Alex Ferguson has accepted it and will move to a Football Director
role in June 2013. Marca says that Guardiola will join the team as early
as January next year but only to “be a shadow at Manchester United” was
the best way it could be translated.
The story running by
Marca contradicts Ed Woodward’s line earlier this week when he said: "We
have a view as to what type of manager we want and how and when we’ll
go about it. But it’s in the drawer and long may it stay in the drawer."

Before we crack into the prematch stuff, the big two stories doing the rounds are that firstly, Pep Guardiola is looking to move to London for his next job. The second is that Arsenal are looking like they’ll conclude a deal with Addidas for their next sponsorship deal.
The manager story is interesting. Rumours have floated around for years that Pep has his eye on taking over from Arsene. I think most Arsenal fans would welcome that. A young, ruthless manager with a supreme record, taking over from a manager who used to share the same values. The concern for me is that we’re not the club he’ll end up at… with Chelsea looking like the team most likely to chop their manager next summer ( they’ve been after Pep for years).
