Dumb question probably .. I haven't played WoW in a long time but YouTube videos have me itching to play classic servers. I'd prefer to use FG to get a token and play, but do I already need to have an active subscription before I can even apply the Token? or is there some way for me to buy token here then start playing? I was assuming the former, because I'm imagining the Token as some in-game tradable item, but I don't really fully know. Thanks for answers!

Also ISO a token depending on how this works :)

you can buy the token without the subscription if u have the money in any of your characters, otherwise u need to have a subscription
