Yes with the risk of going to prison and there is alot of work to make fake money. Steam doess the duping for you and you risk nothing.
How do you risk losing anything if you let you friend hijack your account and then he sells the skins for real money and then you tell steam you got hijacked and they dupe the skins you already sold for real money with your friend? You risk nothing except that your dupe fails and you only get the value of your skins once.

The people with high end 5000k skins are the most paying customers, they open thousands of cases to get those. If they knew those items could just be duped they would never buy the keys to try get them.
