sadly this has been happening for more then a year and a half.

there was a dupe method where you stage a scam by using 4 accounts. then you could claim you got scammed and get your items recovered while the "scammed" items remained on one of your accounts.

They are pixels with real life value so they should be treated like real life objects.

You don't go to the bank and have them print you new deflation causing money when you claim someone robbed your wallet. And this is too easy to abuse.

you can create fake money and buy things at the store with it


the fact is people who try this duping method can lose all their skins if they arent careful, so there is atleast something deterring everyone from doing it

yeah man welcome to steam, CSGO isnt the first game to have valuable market items. this happened in DOTA 2 a lot also, this aint new at all.

the thing is steam probably doesnt give a FUCK, because items that aren't sold on the market dont matter to them, cause they dont get their juicy 15% cut from market transaction

yup, and they would rather not lose a customer (people who actually get scammed)

I have a question regarding the steam support, if u had email notification turned off, is it still possible to get ur items back in case you get keylogged?

yes my friend did so. they told him it was the one and only time they do it. remember if you get on someones account you can just change their email so the notification is not really safe
