i havent done any trade in rs3 gold before, i normally do d2r, how is the process, we trade in game, or do we need some third party, how does it go? i dont know the rules for rs3.

I recommend zero communication in game. Maybe add each other on your friends list but thats it.
Always record your trade. I typically trade my gold to a buyer before they send fg just to give the buyer more peace of mind.
Ask buyer (through jsp) to provide something cheap like a few food items in trade for the gold so it looks less suspicious.
Don't log off until the trade is complete. If (god forbid) there was any funny business on the buyers end, you will need info from chat logs/screenshots to present your case and get your fg back
Also, don't trade to anyone who doesn't have the required funds ready to go at the time of the trade. Don't listen to anyone say "I can get the fg".
Last advice I can offer is use a mediator if you feel uneasy about it.
