Hey everyone! so i just started playing runescape again after taking a 10 year break.. im wondering if anyone would want to meet up in game, give me tips and pointers, let me know what kind of gear i want.. where i want to level stuff.. what missions i want to beat early on and what not. ill probably need some gold too. let me know! im free to play on world 7. i dont know if this is oldschool or not. i open the jagex program and it opens the game up. everything looks different from what it used to. when i mine rocks, theres a cooldown bar and i have to heat stuff up when smithing. ANYWAY, lol. let me know!

Thanks!

If you are playing rs3, which is main game. Some items you will want are luck of the dwarf ring for teir 4 luck.
You will want a grace of the elves. (Amulet) when gathering the amulet will spawn seren spirits when gathering. Only combined with luck of the dwarfs ring for tier 4 can you get the lucky rare hazelmare signet ring without bossing with luck of the dwarfs.
Some items to look up for mage is inquisitor staff, Range I prefer cross bow. Eldritch Crossbow, melee I prefer 2 handed noxious scythe. I haven't advanced much in necromancer even though I'm 120 all seems basic. Get a pair of cinderbane gloves they produce poison on hit and you can add weapon poison potion for damage. Armor your going to have to choose you can get different sets for different bosses. It's all up to what you can afford and what you can do. Skills like archeology give you buffs.

I'd say if starting fresh, to just start a new character entirely. The tutorial for all skills will give you a solid foundational understanding of how the game works now & generally what you are going to need down the line.
FatalSilence made some great pointers but I'd say gear as such is not as necessary as learning the games foundations, which would most easily be done by just restarting.

There are also a ton of resources on the RS Wiki, which is now directly accessible in-game in the chat bar, by clicking the "RS Wiki" button followed by typing the information you want to know.

The community in-game isn't like it once was however, no one really chats. Asking for help in-game may be more challenging than it used to be.
