yeah the star (popularity) does work a little.... It Doesn't give you a HUGE amount extra but you will notice a difference. maybe like 20% more gold you get? not sure.... but it works in avatar off zones so i like it.

actually its 50% more.. each star=1% more

it really pays off and i never play av off without less than 40%

usually with 4player games you see a big boost every game
