Hello comrades,
I hope all is well. It appears the Halo franchise continues its downward spiral into obscurity. Many moons ago this forum was a well-oiled machine, powered by the tears of angry pre-pubescent boys as they experienced being beat senseless in a way that would even make their alcoholic fathers blush with envy. Many years have passed since those lucid days. Those little kids have since grown up, replacing their joysticks with burger-flippers, and the entire dynamic of FPS has shifted to a new generation. The greats that helped pave the way have since become nothing more than storied relics, reminiscing on the "good ol' days" in a way the Baby Boomers do with Woodstock, their LSD being a game of KOTH on Lockout, their Hendrix being a killtacular with the sniper.
Gone are the days of hundreds of new threads, ranging from the upcoming MLG tournament and who is going to why Mike's voice is so damn squeaky. Gone are the days of forum tournaments, and Thumper and his crappy halo skills, and Zelphar in his encompassing stupidity. They are but jovial memories, dulled to a muted sheen; like an abandoned sports car prisoned in a decaying garage.
We can only hope that some day what we crave will return. That someone will take the reigns with the mindset that all has not been lost, but rather is just yet to be found. And if that day comes...nay, WHEN that day comes...I will lead us to battle. I will be the hero that d2jsp>Other Games>Halo Series forums deserve. I will ask for nothing more than your all, and in return I will give you exactly the same, plus a pretty sick BR.
But until that day comes, we will continue to live our lives as they are meant to be lived. I ask all of you to be good men, good friends, good husbands, good fathers, and good brothers. Do as Master Chief would, and he will return the favor if and when it is time to lead him into battle yet again.
