So I want to stream from my computer monitor that I play on to my laptop to twitch or something.

I'm assuming I would have to go with an external capture card since I would be using a laptop. I was thinking something like this:

According to the diagram, all I would need is a couple HDMI cables that connect my monitor to the capture device and then from the capture device to the Xbox. And then I would just connect that to my laptop via USB port.

Anybody have any experience with this? Am I missing something? Will a laptop be able to handle it? It's a couple years old but has 8 gigs of RAM, i7 cpu, etc. so it is decent.

i7 should be able to handle it, if you go to some streamer's info on their channel they have their whole setup for you to see.

Most people are using an internal capture card unfortunately. Since I am on a laptop I don't have that luxury. That's why I'm trying to make sure I am approaching this currently for a laptop before I drop a couple hundred dollars on a capture device

Ya theres no reason the i7 shouldnt be able to handle it. As for the capture device they are steep so do your research and explore the alternatives. I have double xp m dew caps for 5fg a piece if anyone needs, pm me. Gl bro
