In Halo 2, if you went into matchmaking with a party of 5 you got matched against a party of 3-5.

In Halo 3/Reach I think they completely scraped that idea and parties of 8 could play all individuals.

I haven't play a ton of Halo 4 yet and I dont know how to check party size of the players, but what is the rule for Halo 4?

I play without a team and it seems like I only play against small groups (2-3) or all individuals.

Your question can be answered by looking at the playlists in-game.

Only thing is, teams can be uneven in H4 at the start, due to people being able to join/leave freely. I've ran into a game and it was 4:1 at the start, then people joined.

I think he's referring to random individuals playing against premades, not the size of playlists.

this. We all know how many players can be in each game type...

Can a party of 6 (pre-made party of friends) get matched against a team of 6 with all individuals that went into war games by themselves?
