i posted in proper section but niggas give me no help.
i got my mini display port to hdmi adaptor and hook it up.. i get a desktop background display on tv but no icons or anything... after a lil bit the mouse cursor shows up on the tv but disappears on the laptop... im trying to set up mirror display but there is no option that i can find... any body mind helping me out?

fuck macs but on pc i know if you go to screen resolution after right clicking on the desktop you can change what displays on the second screen. If you can figure out a similar setting for mac try that

on a pc you right click your screen and go to graphic options or display. Im sure on mac its as easy as a drag and drop of some kind though like everything else

only help i can offer is to call your display card manufacturer and see if it is possible to set up mirroring on a tv for your mac

It'd be nice to know what operating system you're using. If its windows do what bosefis said there's an option in display settings where you can pick dual monitor or show on monitor a or b etc...
