By not being scrandy. Even cheap HDMIs shouldn't give noticeable lag. Sounds like bad internet lag.

Are you using component cables or an HDMI cable? Have you got the correct visual settings (access these settings via the Console Settings)? Your visual settings may not be the optimal choice for your TV and/or cables.
