for me id say shotgun and battle rifle, close range id pwn u with shotgun then melee you to death

Situationally, it is probable that everyone is most deadly with rockets, considering it has the highest and most splash damage, which results in the least margin of error.

Same stuff as everyone else, but I do pretty well with a pair of pistols.
Plasma to start with, then melee them if they're close enough (takes the same amount of time to shoot + melee as a shotgun blast), or switch to the magnum if they're far away.
Plus you can disable vehicles with the plasma. Very versatile. Plasma pistol isn't used as much as it should be.
