Reach online is dead
Pretty sure tournament attendance for Halo is dwindling, though I haven't been paying attention
Sundance said that Reach is a disappointment
Most pros/semis I talked to right when it came out said it was pretty shitty, though I don't know general opinion now
Will probably be dropped after this season regardless of how well Halo 4 does

Gonna give columbus FFA a chance. Its gonna be the foundation for 2012 mlg. I see halo getting dropped though.

Up until a month or so ago they hadn't even decided whether Reach would be on the circuit this year.

The Reach audience is dying because the game just lacks the competition and edge that Halo 3 had. Starcraft is the only reason that MLG is still standing and apparently Sundance has been all up tight about MLG even staying afloat because they've been losing all of their big sponsors because the sponsors aren't getting the return on the money they're investing into MLG.

League of Legends will hold MLG afloat for a year or two as well. Shit is getting big in Euro/NA while starcraft is holding down the Asian fans (and everyone else ever)

LoL is just such a dumb game... I've watched it like four times and it's boring as hell. I just wish it was still Halo 2/3 MLG. Reach was such a damn letdown

League's really good, but the MLG commentators have been shit. The entire stream quality for MLG LoL has been atrociously awful.

Too hard to balance a game like that though....

It really ins't lol. The game's very balanced. Nearly every one of the ~95 champs are viable, and very few of them are super powerful(Which is why you have 6 bans). 90% of the time in professional play you're banning the champions your opponents are good with anyway, not the strong champions in the game. Every champ has its own counters and there is no one "Pick this guy every time" type of champ(Unless there are unintended over-buffs like on Shen), but even those are usually quickly fixed.
