Probably still Astro amp + Sennheiser headset. I love my A40's, but I hear that Sennheisers are very good. Never tried a good pair of Sennheisers myself, though.

I am in the exact same predicament. Have you heard any certain models of the headsets?

I use Tritton AX720s which sound great and were only like $120 and don't need a mixamp. I've had them for over a year and never had a problem but I've also heard great things about Sennheisers

I just got a pair of Sennheiser PC360's and I can tell you it is by far the best headset I've ever used.
