Just wondering how Statics is.. I'm taking it with Materials, Physics, and Calc II.

Need tips to survive this semester lol.

Surprised physics isn't a prereq for statics at your school. Coming from physics it was pretty easy but it could be a bit of a challenge taking them together. You probably took some variation of physics in high school though and it'll get much harder later on so you should be fine.

Well from experience Physics and Calc II aren't too bad. Not an engineering major though so I can't speak about statics :P

At my university statics is a shitload of homework...2-3 hours of homework due three times a week. It's a little ridiculous, but the coursework isn't that bad as long as you go to class and have a decent understanding of physics.

If you haven't taken physics 1 in college then you might struggle a little bit, but it shouldn't be too bad.

Calculus II is the "hardest" math course in the engineering degrees and I agree because I've taken them all, with the exception of Differential Equations.

I'd be more worried about Calculus II and making sure your fundamentals from Calculus I are at par or better or you will have significant problems.

This is coming from a fourth semester sophomore in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering

It's co-req, you can take both at the same time. High-school is algebra based and college is calculus-based.. so yea it's plenty more difficult.

I'm doing ok in Calc I, I feel I need to better. Not taking calc in high school screwed me here.. any tips on getting better at calc I?

That's odd. Anybody I know had to take physics before statics.

I know the difference between them... after this semester I'm 12 credits from graduating lol. I meant your coursework will get much harder. ;) Wait until heat transfer or compressible fluids. :wallbash:

100% agree on Calc II. Hardest mathematics course in College by far for me. Although Calc III is easier than Calc I

Don't really have any additional input as others already said it.

Cal II should be the only class that challenges you at all, unless one of your professors is a douche.

Btw, how on earth did your team beat Oklahoma at their home???
