Surprised physics isn't a prereq for statics at your school. Coming from physics it was pretty easy but it could be a bit of a challenge taking them together. You probably took some variation of physics in high school though and it'll get much harder later on so you should be fine.
It's co-req, you can take both at the same time. High-school is algebra based and college is calculus-based.. so yea it's plenty more difficult.

At my university statics is a shitload of homework...2-3 hours of homework due three times a week. It's a little ridiculous, but the coursework isn't that bad as long as you go to class and have a decent understanding of physics.
If you haven't taken physics 1 in college then you might struggle a little bit, but it shouldn't be too bad.
Calculus II is the "hardest" math course in the engineering degrees and I agree because I've taken them all, with the exception of Differential Equations.
I'd be more worried about Calculus II and making sure your fundamentals from Calculus I are at par or better or you will have significant problems.
This is coming from a fourth semester sophomore in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering
I'm doing ok in Calc I, I feel I need to better. Not taking calc in high school screwed me here.. any tips on getting better at calc I?
