My xbox today was making this type of noise.

It kept making it for a while except it was a but less in volume.

Then after a while it wasn't able to read any discs. What the hell do I do?

Same thing happened to me. I thought it was a toaster/xbox combo that they were selling at Wal Mart...boy was I wrong.
