Does anyone else believe that Cortana has gone through rampancy during the time period in which john is asleep (lost in space). In the halo 4 preview cortana has a different haircut and personality traits that suggests she has done through rampancy. The normal time before an AI goes into rampancy is 7 years and with the hints that her and john have been in space for a considerable time, I believe Cortana has survived Rampancy and gotten to a state of metastability.

Cortana was going rampant long before 7 years passed. Signs of rampancy started showing shortly after the destruction of the first Halo, when she was having trouble storing all of the data from the construct. If you want to learn about the Halo canon, read the books. Bungie is fucking terrible at following the storyline - just look at Reach. There isn't a single thing in the Reach game that is accurate when compared to the actual canon.
