does this look like it is good enough to run sc2?
i want to upgrade my computer and get starcraft 2 for my brother for his birthday/graduation gift when he gets done with boot camp
i think it can because i used to run counter strike ez with no lag, i know counter strike has bad graphics but still sc2 is not a fps like css

BMT? basic military training? i guess if thats what they call boot camp
yea left almost 4 weeks ago to parris island, sc. 9 more weeks to go

does ram cost alot?

No. Needs more RAM and a new video card for sure, and that CPU is old as hell so you may want a newer processor as well. I'm not familiar with the pins on that mobo, you may need to get a new one if the new technology isn't compatible.

i was looking at it on gamestop and it says 1 gb ram req for xp and 1.5 gb of ram needed for window 7
and i got xp so i should be good on that

That's the bare minimum though. I'd def go for at least 2Gb ram

2GB minimum.. recommended 4GB.

i5 minimum.
