I was ranked #9-20 in the world for about 8 months in FFA during Halo 2 prime and placed in 9th place at MLG CHICAGO 06 as well as 10th place in To4 that year.
When Halo 3 came out, I clinged to my Halo 2 disk and regular xbox controllers until it got taken offline on April 4, 2010.

Never really got that into halo 3... Just didn't feel right... Got my 50 in LW, Slayer, Dubs, MLG, Snipes, Objective (taken out), as well as a 48 in MLG FFA for it's short lived duration.
