I always end up owing more than I paid since I get so much money in scholarships, which are evidently completely taxable. Bastards.

Luckily my dad's a CPA so I can keep it to a minimum.

Sucks man. Since I job-hopped, Lockheed didn't pay for my grad school classes so I paid those suckers out-of-pocket (3.2k a class = OUCH), but at least they will help me when filing for my return. And the 7% state income tax that Arkansas has always adds up pretty quickly.

Yeah, it's Lockheed. How long did you wait to switch jobs? Don't you only have to pay them back for the last 12 months or something? Still sucks, but if you took classes over a couple years it's not too bad.

Groovy. I worked at Lockheed for about a year and a half...as I'm sure you know, you have to have worked there for 12 months AFTER you finish your class in order for them to pay it, which I didn't.

Oh well...hindsight is 20/20 and whatnot.

Ah yeah, I only skimmed over that part. Well I plan to take advantage of it too, it's essentially adding like 10-20% to your salary to take a couple classes per year, not to mention the salary raise once you actually get the degree.

So, you guys will get me an internship?
