First of all, CE did not have the online capabilities that 2 had unless you played on XBConnect. But you're probably too poor/stupid to remember those days.
I'm referring to 2 because of the online play which revolutionized online gaming.
Seeing as how all of the games in my signature came out after Halo except Uno obv.
Halo 3 was a shitty game. You obviously never played 2 if you think 3 is good.
Gee, I wonder why Halo CE didn't have the online capabilities that Halo 2 did...maybe because XBOX LIVE DIDN'T EXIST YET? Kind of hard to add a feature to a game when you know nothing about said feature, I'd say.
Halo 2 has done absolutely nothing to advance the series, which is quite funny considering how stinking long it took them to make it in comparison to the first one, couple with pushing the release date back over a year. Lets see what additions were made:
Dual welding (LOL)
Replaced the pistol, a gun that actually requires SKILL, with a BR that doesn't even have the range of an assualt rifle from Halo CE.
Sticky aim, diluting the learning curve into the equivalent of playing Pokemon Snap.
Took away fall damage, which was probably to help the plethora of 3-year-olds and kids with no hands who want to play so that they can walk across a beam without falling off to their death (you know, like it should be).
Took away health, and instead replacing it with a "magical" invisible amount of health, meaning you have no viable way of determing how close you are to dying when your shield is down.
Making the sniper rifle easier to use while no-scoping than when zoomed in.
Replaced small, symmetric maps with giant ones, filled with enough useless, stupid "eye candy" that it would make Walt Disney puke in his grave.
The sword.
The only real component that made the multiplayer somewhat deep, button combos, were there simply because Bungie sucked at fool-proofing the game.
No more power-up timing.
No more grenading weapons to yourself.
I could literally go on for hours.
You are welcome to like whatever game you want, but please don't try to use the argument that Halo 2 "revolutionized" anything, because not only are you wrong but saying so makes you look quite silly.
