Thinking about getting it tonight but I don't know if i should. Can someone who has played it let me know how good it is? I played SC1 but that was a long time ago.

Yeah its A pretty awesome game. The campaign is going to be the shit. Watch the trailers; it will make you want the game.

Yeah I understand everyone plays, but what would I do for fun?

Since I didn't play the beta, I would be much worse than everybody and I don't really like playing 1v1 Melee's and stuff.

The ranking system fixes the skill difference. You play 5 ranking matches and from there it puts you in a league (bronze - platinum). As you do better you can move up leagues playing different/more difficult people and such.

Lets pretend you are one of two billion people who are going to buy this game.
There are those who played the beta, and there are those who have not played the beta.
There are those who saw the trailer, and there are those who played the beta and saw the trailer.

50% of those kids who saw the trailer will be bad, and those who didn't get invited into beta will be bad.
50% of those who played the beta are complete terrible, 30% of those who played the beta troll on UMS and never laddered, 10% of those who played the beta are bad, and the remaining 10% of those who played the beta are decent/good/semi/pro.

Now that I believe that I am rather convincing, since you don't play melee and stuff, it's still better than Halo Reach. Landon sucks balls at halo and never touched Starcraft 1 so it kind of makes sense to buy it.
