So apparently, the rules changed. Couple days ago, some guy made a thread that was like "GB help", and you said "It doesn't matter what the gametype is, as long as the match is completed it counts". Pat confirmed that in a next post, and I know that rule as well.

But...

xx0ur3n: : (Match ID: 18275683) (Team ID: 2139088): The match doesn't show any maps.

You are now speaking with --Random of Halo 3 (Xbox360).

--Random: Hello, what seems to be the problem?

xx0ur3n: The match doesn't show any maps.

xx0ur3n: But here's the thing.

xx0ur3n: Live Support wasn't working, so we played Guardian

xx0ur3n: He completed the match, so I won game 1

xx0ur3n: Now he's no-showing for game 2

--Random: If the map shows up, usually the match has to be removed.

--Random: If the maps don't show up, I mean.

xx0ur3n: They're not showing

xx0ur3n: also we completed the match

xx0ur3n: so game 1 is valid is it not?

--Random: If you both could not see the maps, you were suppose to play. Then how would you able to play any matches on the correct maps?

--Random: Both games are not valid, and you'll have to submit a ticket about the maps not showing up. The match will then be removed, and no one will win/lose.

xx0ur3n: Alright one more question

xx0ur3n: regarding the rules

xx0ur3n: because i was in a similiar situation to this one, and the match was completed, even though the maps didn't show, but we completed both games.

--Random: I'm only going by what I was told by our Head Admin.

xx0ur3n: Hypothetical question: if the maps did show, but we played the wrong settings accidentally, the match would still be completed yes?

--Random: If the maps showed, and you played on the wrong settings/map. The match would probably still removed, since both of you played on incorrect maps/settings.

xx0ur3n: Wait.

xx0ur3n: What?

xx0ur3n: Did the rules change recently?

--Random: If the maps showed, and both teams knowningly played on wrong settings/maps on each game. Then there would be no clue winner, since both of you would be found of using wrong settings.

xx0ur3n: Jonathan told me yesterday that as long as the match is completed it doesn't matter. If the maps are wrong, its under the responsibility of the player to quit out immediately if so.

--Random: Well, Johnation may be right then. I wasn't notified about the no map rule, except for the fact the match gets removed. But if both players knowingly played the entire match, and choose not to quit out then whoever was hosting would be given the lose.

xx0ur3n: However, there's no way to prove host.

--Random: I mean host as in party leader.

xx0ur3n: I understand that.

xx0ur3n: There's no way to prove it.

--Random: If both teams were to follow the hosting rules, then we would be able to tell which team hosted whichever map.

xx0ur3n: That's only reliable if the teams did follow hosting rules. Now since this is going nowhere, what's going to happen to the match?

xx0ur3n: It stand 1-0 on me.

--Random: Just submit a ticket under " opponent no-show " provide the bungie link to game 1, and provide game 2's bungie link showing you were online during the match scheduled time.

xx0ur3n: Alright, thanks. Will do chief.

--Random: You're welcome, have a good day.

Your party has left this session.

4. If any of the below settings are incorrect, the hosting team forfeits that map. The team hosting is responsible to ensure all setting are correct prior to beginning any map. If the settings are incorrect, the map needs to end and the next map needs to be played. The team that was not hosting is responsible for obtaining valid proof to show that the hosting team did not have the settings correct. A ticket with valid proof must be submitted immediately after the match has been completed.

So the rules changed in the past couple days? Or are you just noob-admin status?

Don't ever use me as a reference for rules because first of all I'm not halo staff anymore. I'm in Human Resources, the rules change, keep up to date with them.

I haven't been halo staff in 4 months :O

Then again it would be hard to prove who is party leader etc, so I'd assume that if the matches were played in its entirety then they would count it still.

That is how it WAS when I was staff.

e/ Additionally if the maps do not show up it is always an auto cancellation.
