I was about to quit Halo til I got my shit together in some futile attempt to get my girl back, but she told me today it's over, and there's no point in beating a dead horse.

I'm going to my friends house tomorrow to grab my xbox.

Should still work to get it together, though maybe take your time and work slowly toward your GED, etc. Do it for you, not for her.

I'll get on later tonight, I've got work for another 5.5-6 hours and then have about 2 hours' worth of junk to do, but I can probably get on after that for a little while. Haven't been on since we quit Saturday night.

I'll be pissed drunk by then.

She said in a few months time, we may be able to get back together, but I see that as; I'm going to go fuck guys while you try better yourself, so there's no real point in trying. Trust me, Cam. I'll be fine. I've done a lot of thinking in the last few days, and even though I shouldn't post this up because this is the Halo series, and I'm sure nut riders will drag this on forever, I am going to be alright. I've got great friends, both on and offline, and they've been there more for me in the last 3 days than I could ever imagine.


Also, this fall I'll be starting towards my GED. After that, I think I'm going to take an electrician trade, and see where life takes me from there.

No, I agree with you; I'm not saying to do it as a way to "win her back", forget about her. If you've gotten over it, then do it for you. It's just about the best thing you can do in your life right now, and it's easier to do it now then it would at any time in the future.

And if you happen to have some lingering resentment then imagine how she'll feel when she sees you succeeding and moving forward without her. Of course, the nice thing about that is there's nothing more insulting than to be ignored, and you don't even have to be malicious to pull that off. But if you HAVE managed to get over it already, more power to you. I know for a fact that I wouldn't be able to get over a break-up after a 2-year relationship in anything close to a few days.

I'm not over it, but I know it's out of my power. I will be fine, be it in a few weeks, months, whatever. But all I can do in the mean time, is work towards progressing in life, and having fun with hobbies. I'm not going to try win her back, because I know she wasn't the greatest thing in the world. We all have our flaws. I am going to, however, become the best me that I can be. I want a lot of things in life, and I know sitting around sulking over a girl won't get me there. I'm 18, in the real world, I'm still but a baby. There's plenty of time for women, I might as well make the most of it.
