the number 1 reason to this question is that...

halo 3 is more exciting because they have ranking system (level 1 to 50) keeping it very competitive
while halo reach has "arenas" which is the worst idea ever

H3 is better than Reach 1, because it was one of the LAST games Bungie put their Heart into, Reach is a HUGE dissapointment period, if this is the game that "Reach,it all started here", Bungie, y are their some badass enemies & hardware in Reach but yet not in the (older) games when in YOUR designated timeline would infact incorporate everything we saw in reach should technically be at our disposal by H3 but its not.

Reach's ranking system blows giant Donkey D and promotes unworthy GARBAGE players, H3 promotes players with REAL skill & tactics, Armor abilites are omitted in H3, so your sticky WONT ever "POP" off somebody cuz they enabled AL like a bitch. I could go on and on how Bungie messed up their entire franchise. But im stopping now, same goes to CoD series, CoD1 -CoD 5 = GFG MW-Blk Ops = GARBAGE

I don't see why so many people say that Bungie didn't "try" with Reach. The game is much more detailed than any other game in the series. The sheer amount of content in Reach is astonishing compared to any previous Halo game.

Started playing halo 3 soon after it came out. Stopped when i wasn't able to play xbox for a little bit and since then came right back too it. I don't play any other games nor did i even bnother to buy odst or reach

MW2 - ShitOps = terrible
