One questions. Why isn't Halo one still played at an event if it was better than 2/3/reach? Why isn't halo 2 still played at an event if it was better than 3 and reach? Your point is horrible when you say that a game won't last longer than a year if it sucks because as previous experience has shown, it will.

Terrible logic. The Halo series has gotten progressively worse over the years, with Reach being the worst yet. The only reason that Halo 3 was the flagship game for so long is because it had a huge following. It was the most popular FPS for most of its life, and even though it wasn't the most competitive game ever, MLG had to keep its viewers somehow. Reach, on the other hand, is even worse competitively than any of its predecessors, and is incredibly unpopular. Reach will probably be on the circuit until 343 creates the new Halo, but certainly not as the Flagship game.

Bold = what I already said
Italics = No it was there for so long because no other halo game was created.
Underline = the same for all the other halos pretty much too
bold/underline = Every halo game was worse competitively than the one before it...
underline/italics = Same with every game when it first comes out...
bold/underline/italics = It will be on the circuit until the next halo because that is how MLG works. They keep a game on the circuit until the next one of that series comes out

edit: the logic was following what you said early by the way

Bold: Obviously
Italics: MLG is Major League Gaming, not Major League Halo. Halo has been used as the flagship game for so long because, until recently, it was the most competitive title out there. That has obviously changed.
Underline: Of course, which bolstered MLG's population. Nobody likes Reach, even the hardcore "Halo kids" that would never dream of playing any other title.
Bold/underline: Already covered this. I was reiterating in my post for emphasis.
Underline/italics: I hope you're joking.
Bold/underline/italics: I already said this. Without a huge patch, which isn't going to happen, Reach isn't going to be the flagship game, though.

Underline: none of the hardcore halo kids liked halo 3 either but they still learned to play it and adapt to it just like how everyone is adapting to reach. Many of the halo 3 pros also agree that reach is better than 3 but you wouldn't know of that.
underline/italics: please name 5 games which people didn't complain about when it first came out (has to be games in a series).
all 3 : it clearly will be a flagship game because majority of those who played 3 have adapted to and have learned to like reach.

Not that it matters, but I've played with more Halo 3 pros than you even know. X I Panic X I is my tag if you really care.

I can't name any, but that's beside the point. All of the obvious ones(All the CoD games, H2/3, etc.) got huge patches that made them good/playable. Bungie has made it apparent that they won't be patching Reach like they did for H2. i.e., not a huge patch, which Reach clearly needs to be good.

Adapting to a game doesn't make it a good game. Donaldbalbu might be the best Viva Pinata player but it doesn't make the game good. And, lol that you think the pros like Reach.

Don't state your opinion as fact to someone who has a lot more pro experience than you could dream of with Halo lol..

I mean that literally, you have woken up with cum stained sheets after wet dreams of playing with pros whilst he has been lanning with pros.

In terms of competitiveness, CE > 2 > 3/Reach(It's a toss up to most people). If you disagree with this, you have no idea what you're talking about.

Most people base their opinion of competitiveness off of which was the fastest pace, which is def CE > 2 > Reach > 3.
In terms of which had most competition it will go Reach > 3 > 2 > CE

so let me know what you really think it is.

It's not opinion, it's an absolute fact. Bungie has been dumbing the game down with each sequel, all you have to look at is auto aim, bullet magnetism, etc. They're purposefully making the game easier to play so they sell more games.

p.s. I've been using xbc since CE. I'm not acting like it's some huge new development, I just want some more people to play H2.
