Bloom itself isn't bad. The DMR's bloom, on the other hand, is terrible. If you ever played Shadowrun, you'd know what I'm talking about. The rifle's bloom actually punished spamming, and it was almost impossible to get any kills while spamming. The DMR's bloom almost forces you to spam, leaving almost every DMR battle up to complete luck. If you don't shoot at a high rate of fire, and leave all of your shots up to luck, you'll rarely get any kills at close to medium range.

tl;dr: Just because you got used to bloom doesn't mean it's good.

Yep, did you see Ghost's 50-0 game on Sanc TS? He spammed a fucking ton. And by spamming doesn't necessarily mean that you fire as fast as possible, just that you don't let the bloom reset all the way. Unless you let the bloom reset 100% between every shot, you're leaving a large amount of your shots up to luck.

Have to disagree there. If you're aiming at the center of someone, you don't have to let the bloom fully reset to still guarantee a hit. The only time you really need to let it fully reset is when you're going for the headshot, since it's a smaller target.

Not that I've played Reach anytime recently, it's been months. I gave up waiting on them to fix it; unless something huge happens, I probably won't ever play that game again.
