I agree with this, H2 hype had some to do with it, but I mean, Halo 2 was successful somewhat because of H1, so I would say these are bad things to use as points. H3 was a great game with great maps the only downside was connection and I love it still.
shit can we say reach was hyped cause of h3, then h4 was hyped because it had 4 at the end of it, and it was the return of the br.
hype did not make these games last as long as h2 and h3 did.
in a perfect scenario: MLG does pick up h2+h3 for a whole year until h5. then mlg playlist is a combination of h2 and h3 maps/gametypes
