dell insp/xps (dell) - alright laptops with bloat
dell (alienware) - solid laptops that cost more than they should (i plan on getting one since I can get a dual 6970m gpu for 1900$ + tax, just get better ram and g2g+free xbox since im a stoodnt = 100$ off the cost again, just sell the fucka)
mac - though this was a mainly discussion
msi/asus - good laptops, I have never really been blown away by them

then you got all your custom sites where you can make a KILLER laptop, but for a high ass price like alienware.

The G73 is a beast. That's what I was going with if I didn't get my Qosmio.

Ya I've been happy with it. But, like the $2500 gaming PC I built, it hasn't been used for much more than checking email and playing poker (well, before poker was banned in the US :( ).

Why don't you give him an actual recommendation instead of just talking shit like everyone else.

Legit piece of knowledge there.

acer/hp/compaq are all bottom end Dell is way above them, toshiba is more for the working man, not the student.

This is very subjective. You can't dub an entire line of computers as being "bottom end" or for "the working man". There are way too many variables involved.

... acer/hp/compaq are terrible machines in comparison to the rest of the market. If the op got one of these he should be slapped repeatedly.

You can, really. You get what you pay for. I've never used an Acer, but HP/Compaq computers have a tendency to break after a short time, and have problems while they do work.

hp and compaq pcs are filled with bloat, bloat needs to be removed asap.

Acer is better, from my experience, for bloat but they do not make a powerful lasting machine.

Proof? I just did a search on computer brand reviews and they are all over the board. I welcome you to try to prove me otherwise.

No, you really can't. To combat your statement I've had both HP and Compaq computers that have worked fine for several years. That's what I am trying to say: it's completely based off personal experience. I have a friend who has had a terrible experience with ASUS (Which I feel is the best PC brand out from personal experience).

I wasn't really basing it off my personal experiences, I was basing it off of my Dad's experiences(He works on computers every day for his job), my friends' experiences, and the experiences of people I know on the internet.

Well my experience with them is the polar opposite. Hence why I said that it's going to vary from person to person. Hence why I basically told GEZodiac that making a generic, blanket statement about an entire computer brand is incorrect.
