I figured everyone rants about it so here is mine.
1st: This isn't Halo 2. Stop remaking the maps. Why you ask? Halo 2 maps were awesome!!!
I agree that Halo 2 maps were awesome but gone is the day where you could stand on the other side of the map and not be killed. For anyone that played Halo 2, you know how hard it was to long distance br efficiently on maps such as sanctuary. In Reach, given the DMR, you are now able to be killed from anywhere on the map at any point. This also goes for maps such as ascension and any other half sized Halo 2 map. The DMR's range totally poops on the old playability of these given maps. I expect bigger maps to arrive or maps that happen to have just more shit to negate the distance of the DMR shot.
2nd: Gone are the days of multikills....
The bloom Bungie added to the DMR has totally and completely erased what we formerly knew as an "Uber awesome out br overkill extermz!". In Halo 2, Bxr, BxB, Double Shoot, LxB, Backpack reload. All led to multi kills if performed correctly. In Halo 3, we had the br, not as good as Halo 2, but still a weapon that if fired with accuracy by the player could give multikills. In Reach, we now have a weapon that punishes you for shooting faster and faster. That is such herp derp in my honest opinion. If I want to jump out and try to out DMR two people, I should be able to try. I shouldn't have to "time" my shots or stop every once and awhile to let the bloom reset. Really? An aspect of Halo that seemed to be constant throughout the games was the ability of the incredible multi kills but noooo... Lets add a gun that gets more and more inaccurate the more you shoot so these multi kills seem impossibru!
TL;DR - Reach isn't Halo 2. Stop trying to make it like Halo 2. Dmr sux. NN bloom.
